From: student@uwc.edu Subject: bra and ket vectors Date: Thu, 07 Dec 2000 13:03:10 -0600 Newsgroups: sci.math Summary: [missing] How do the people that use these vectors pronounce bra? Is it as in brassiere or as in bracket (from which the word comes)? I presume ket is pronounced as it looks. I have a rather large (English) pronunciation guide of mathematical terms at http://waukesha.uwc.edu/mat/kkromare/main.html and want to include the word. It is a work in progress with much to be done, however most mathematics words found in undergraduate mathematics courses and many historical and recreational mathematics terms are already included. Even common words are included so anyone who's native language is not English may find it useful. Thanks, Kent
