Erg... A lot. Just to pick the things that come to mind:

Randall-Sundrum cosmologies
Noncommutative geometry
NCOS and OM-theory
Tachyon Condensation
K-theory

When I was bored a while back, I made up a page of links to some

The new stuff is OM theory and NCOS which you can find in papers
by Seiberg, Susskind and Toumbas and Strominger, Gopokumar,
