A free implementation of the Elliptic Curve Method (ECM) to factor integers,
called GMP-ECM, because based on the GMP library, is available from

GMP-ECM has already found two factors of 40 digits or more this year:

2503258139391324274352072172458469939793 divides 6^399-1
254139660710314265859242122277843290934557 divides 3^1041+1

(see ftp://nimbus.anu.edu.au/pub/Brent/champs.ecm for a list of large
factors found by ECM).

If you like GMP-ECM, then please donate a few of your machine free cycles to
