Evariste Galois' work on the theory of equations soluble by radicals was (among other manuscripts) posthumously published by the French mathematician Joseph Liouville (1809-1882) in 1846. You can find an extensive bibliography of Evariste Galois' studies and about Evariste Galois by other mathematicians in the book L. T. Rigatelli, 'Evariste Galois (1811-1832)', Birkhauser Vita Mathematica, Volume II (Boston), 1996 Hope this helps, M. Doerfner
