Keywords: Goldie's theorem (noncommutative fields of fractions)
[deletia --djr]
Goldie's theorem was proved in 1958. It extends the
construction of the field of fractions of an integral domain
to the noncommutative situation, where the appropriate
analog of a field is that of a matrix ring with entries in
a skew field (division ring).
