Luckily, I remembered that problem from 5 years ago, because I had sent in a solution; still had to search through a couple years of Monthlies by hand because I didn't recall the exact date. Stanley Rabinowitz's Index to Mathematical Problems, Vol. 1, 1980-1984 is very useful for problems from that 5-year period; I wonder if any more volumes have been (or are going to be) published.
